FCEI Limited t/a Foreign Currency Exchange International is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. FCEI is incorporated in Ireland with limited liability. Registered No. 512258. Registered office 1 Lower O’Connell St., Dublin 1, telephone +353 1 8745005.
The principal business of FCEI is the purchase and sale of foreign currency notes and purchase of foreign currency travellers cheques at Bureau de Change offices located in Ireland.
Currency Exchange Rates
FCEI exchange rates change each business day (Monday to Friday) and are calculated on current market exchange rates plus a foreign exchange margin. Currency exchange rates are applied to each currency exchange transaction. Exchange rates can fluctuate each business day. All exchange rates applied are calculated in accordance with criteria approved by the Central Bank of Ireland.

Foreign Currency Transactions
The following daily maximum transaction limits apply:
- currency exchange of €6,000.00 (or currency equivalent);
- credit card transaction limit for currency exchange transactions of €1,500.00; and
- credit card cash advance limit of €350.00.
Please be aware that credit card transactions may attract an additional charge from your card issuer. You acknowledge that these are not charges made by FCEI and that FCEI has no liability for these charges.
Foreign currency transactions are Commission Free.
Identification
FCEI reserves the right to request appropriate identification documents to verify identity and comply with applicable legislation or regulation. FCEI requires photographic identification for all transactions above €1,000.00 or equivalent. Further documentation may be required for larger transactions. Please contact us for further information.
Click & Collect Service
The following section applies to FCEI’s Click and Collect service in addition to the Terms and Conditions set out above. By placing an order using FCEI’s Click and Collect service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accept these Terms and Conditions.
Orders up to a maximum of €3,000 can be placed online for in branch collection. FCEI will have most currencies in stock but might be required to place a special order to fulfil your order. In this event, you may be required to place a non-refundable deposit to secure your order.
Payment for orders is made in person at FCEI’s branch locations. You must choose your preferred collection point during the order process.
Orders must be collected within 2 business days of the requested collection date and time.
Exchange rates can fluctuate each business day. Online exchange rates can differ from in branch rates. At the time of collection, should the exchange rate in our branch be different to the rate that applied at the time of your order, you will be offered the more favourable rate.
This service is only available to Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 or over, and who are resident in and accessing the service from the Republic of Ireland.
Foreign currency must not be ordered for purposes other than those deemed legitimate which comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. FCEI reserves the right to decline orders without reason.
Currencies are subject to availability. FCEI will use its best endeavours to inform you if there is a problem with your order but will not be liable:
- if we are unable to perform any of our obligations because of something outside our reasonable control;
- for any loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss or waste of time, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business, consequential or special loss;
- for and loss of information or unauthorised use of data arising as a result of you using encryption systems below our recommended level; or
- for any failure by you to provide us with correct information when you order.
Our maximum liability to you in respect of each use of the service for a foreign currency order shall be limited to a sum equal to the total purchase price of the order.
Proof of identification will be required on collection.
FCEI may, at any time and with immediate effect, change these Terms and Conditions without notice and without liability to you. Any revision will be posted on this website. By placing an order with FCEI, you will be accepting any such changes. You are advised to visit the Website regularly and keep yourself updated about the Terms and Conditions before using the Click and Collect service.
Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be read and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any dispute arising from the use of the service shall be resolved exclusively in the Courts of Republic of Ireland.
